Check my CSV free →First check Inventory tracker (or the legacy Variant Inventory Tracker header) on every affected variant row. Shopify documents a blank tracker as inventory not tracked; use shopify only when you intend Shopify to track that variant. RowReady flags rows that contain an inventory quantity while the tracker is blank, but it leaves the tracker unchanged because enabling inventory is a business decision.
Next check the number of locations in the store. Shopify documents the Inventory quantity column in a product CSV as single-location only. For a store with multiple locations, export the inventory CSV from Products > Inventory, update the location-specific quantity column, and import it there instead. A browser-local product CSV checker cannot see your store locations, so confirm this in Shopify before retrying.
